Thank you for browsing our church’s website. My name is Kurt Schroder and I have the privilege of being the pastor at Iron River Bible Church. My wife, Lori, and our sons, Titus, and Caleb and I moved to Iron River in January 2025 from Maryland. We were greeted by a few days of subzero temps.
Our family has some history with Iron River. I was raised in Tipler, Wisconsin. I grew up attending Iron River Bible from the late 70’s until 1998. My parents were active members of Iron River Bible Church for nearly forty years.
Our family served with Continental Baptist Missions as missionaries. The Lord gave us the opportunity to minister in northern Wisconsin in a revitalization work for twelve years and then a new church plant for thirteen years in north central Maryland.
Besides our son at home, we have two daughters, Jessica and Monica. Both of the girls are married to and live near St. Louis. We also have a son, Caleb, who is a college student at Appalachian Bible College.
It is good to be back in the area. There is a wondrous beauty to the Upper Peninsula. We love the lakes and beautiful summers. It is a privilege to be part of this community and to serve a local church with people who love Jesus and want to follow Him. God is doing some great things here at IRBC. We’d love to have you join us as we grow in our love for the Savior.
